I’m Dominic, co-founder of Visage Life. My journey with skincare and grooming began at a young age, shaped by my father, an award winning and seasoned barber who has been cutting my hair for as long as I can remember. Despite his expertise, I have always struggled with persistent in grown hair issues like razor causing inflammation after haircuts. Growing up, my father explored numerous remedies and techniques to alleviate my discomfort, but none provided a lasting solution.
As I grew older, I began testing products on my own. However, most commercially available options are alcohol based and dried out my skin, caused further irritation, or contained fragrances that triggered my extreme sensitivities. This ongoing struggle led me to stop cutting the hair on my face and neck altogether, sacrificing a clean, groomed appearance for the sake of comfort.
When I became a financial advisor, my struggle with grooming took on a new dimension. In my role, I was meeting with clients every day—sitting across the table from people who trusted me to guide their financial futures. I wanted to look polished and professional, not just for them, but for my own confidence. However, my ongoing skin issues made it hard to feel like I was putting my best face forward.
I teamed up with my dad, and together we founded Visage Life. With his barbering expertise and my determination, we developed a line of grooming products that are gentle on sensitive skin, free from irritating fragrances, and designed to hydrate and soothe instead of dry out.
